A strong, steady mature Tasmanian blackwood, this beautifully even grain is a pleasure to work. Instead of producing a strong contrast, the ancient kauri insert and lid blend right in. The carefully inserted paua is a striking highlight. I was really trilled with the finished result. This will become an heirloom. Sometimes we contribute only a little, and yet it completes the whole. This product has been carefully finished in environmentally friendly natural oils and waxes.
