From an ash tree on the Omaha Flats, this piece thrills me. A simple shape with distinctive grain, it did not look much. By coating with a natural treatment, which reacts with the tannins in the wood, a natural wood dye is activated. It is a risk, as it may not result in what we hope. Yet sometimes a corrosive element in our lives brings a beauty otherwise never achieved.
This product has been carefully finished in environmentally friendly natural oils and waxes.
