Fully merging two opposed art forms is a challenge which we took head on and came up with fusing one into the other. The complexities of following pottery form in wood, but resizing and merging were interesting. Not knowing if it could be done, we emphasised the fusion by removing a section of the pottery and fastening in wood. Two-pot resin with added colour has been used to highlight the fusion even more. This project was complex and time consuming- a one-off piece indeed!
The main section of wood is heart pohutukawa with a puriri lid and ebony finial.
