Sapwood is the vibrant, nutrient rich, outer section of a log. It’s where the action is. As the action slows down it become stronger until it becomes the bones of the tree. This transition can be dramatic. Here it is brilliantly depicted in colour; the light wood is the sapwood and the dark is the strong heartwood. Like us as we mature, we may be less dramatic, more solid and secure. This product has been carefully finished in environmentally friendly natural oils and waxes.
