Ash is an exotic in New Zealand, a non-indigenous tree. Because ash is robust yet flexible its wood was used extensively- cut into fine strips and laminated together into tennis rackets. The lid is walnut. This product has been carefully finished in environmentally friendly natural oils and waxes.
